A famous American artist. Was born on February, 1, 1911 in Serbia. Learned painting first in Yugoslavian School of Art and later in the Academy of Art in Munich (Germany). After the war moved to America. The theme of sea is very important in the creative work of the artist. The New York Times called him "a poet of the sea". His numerous works depict coasts of California where Russian ships arrived.
