Graduated from Serov Art School (Leningrad) in 1971 and in 1978 - from V. Mukhina Industrial Art School (Leningrad). For a long time worked as a chief artist in the Central Naval Museum. The member of the marine painters' studio of the Navy. A participant of fifteen ocean cruises. The artist's works on the naval theme are in more than 20 countries of the world including the Hermitage, the State Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Picture Gallery, the Central Naval Museum, the Royal Naval Museum of Portsmouth (England), Vatican Museum and others. The Honoured Artist of Russia, the Chairman of the marine painters' studio of St. Petersburg Artists' Union.
