Beggrov Alexander

(1841-1914)

A famous Russian marine painter. Graduated from the Engineering and Artillery School of the Naval Department. Left the service and decided to dedicate his life to creative work. In 1870-1874 studied in St. Petersburg Academy of Art. Learned painting at M. K. Klodt and A. P. Bogolyubov. The author of numerous historic paintings.
