Rubo Franz

(1856-1928)

A famous Russian battle painter. The Professor, a member of St. Petersburg Academy of Art. In 1902-1912 was the chief of the Art High School at St. Petersburg Academy of Art. The author of the famous battle panoramas "The Defence of Sevastopol" (1902- 1904) and "The battle at Borodino" (1911).
